Gamble House Lighting Series

The Gamble House in Pasadena, CA was designed by the architects Charles and Henry Greene. The house was built with magnificent Greene and Greene lighting, along with custom designed furniture, in 1908 for David and Mary Gamble of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Gamble House lighting fixtures stand today as some of the undisputed masterpieces of architects Charles and Henry Greene. In 1966 it was deeded to the city of Pasadena in a joint agreement with the University of Southern California. Today it is open to the public for daily tours and stands as a wonderful tribute to the magnificent work of the Greene’s.


Gamble House Chain Mount Lantern - Greene and Greene Style Lighting

Our reproduction of this beautiful Greene and Greene lantern is exact in every detail. The stained glass panels have the classic cloud lift detail using copper foiled gold iridescent glass. As with the original, our lantern is built with hand made square rivets and decorative brackets on the roof seams. This UL approved fixture is made of solid brass and is shown with our New Verde finish and Gold Iridescent glass.

This beautiful fixture was originally designed by the Charles and Henry Greene for the back patio area at 1908 Gamble House. We have recreated this lantern to its exact size and details from historical drawings and from field measurements from the original fixture. Intimate details like the hand made square rivets and copper foiled stained glass panels were perfectly recreated to honor this magnificent fixture. This UL approved fixture is made of solid brass and is shown with our New Verde finish and Gold Iridescent glass.
